Dive into an unforgettable, hands-on experience at the Elephant Care Center (Sanctuary) in Koh Samui. Our half-day program is designed to create a genuine, emotional connection between you and these magnificent animals, focusing on ethical treatment and natural interaction.

 

Your Half-Day Ethical Elephant Program

Your journey begins with a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome drink and change into traditional Thai farmer attire, preparing you for a day of authentic care.

The Program Highlights Include:

  • Introduction & Education: Receive an in-depth introduction to the center's concept and noble goals of elephant conservation and welfare.

  • Food Preparation: Participate directly in the preparation of daily sustenance and learn how to make essential dietary supplements for the elephants. You will then feed them with fresh, organic produce from the local plantations, such as grasses and bananas.

  • Photo Interaction: Share joyful moments and interact with the elephants for unique, ethical photo opportunities.

  • Mud Spa Observation: Observe the elephants enjoying their natural mud spa. Learn about the benefits of these baths for protecting their skin and repelling insects.

  • Free-Roaming Walk: Walk freely with the elephants in their natural, spacious habitat. Witness their true behavior as they forage for food and rub against trees.

  • Rescue & Rehabilitation: Meet the elephants recently rescued from a life of hard labor at Koh Samui’s first dedicated care center, and personally assist in their recovery by feeding them organic food.

  • Playtime & Care: Share a playful moment with the elephants in a giant bathing area, giving them a shower and learning essential elephant care techniques.

  • Local Refreshments: Savor a variety of vegetarian dishes and delicious seasonal fruits.

  • Farewell: Watch a special surprise video of the center's work before saying goodbye to the elephants. We then provide a seamless transfer back to your hotel.

 

Important Note on Language

While the guide's explanations are primarily in English, the entire experience with the elephants is deeply intuitive and highly emotional, making it easy to understand and enjoy, even if you do not speak English fluently. This is a unique and emotional activity for all participants.
